Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AF Academy (“AF Academy”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the operator of the Tunnelling.in online course programme (the “Programme”), collects, uses, discloses and safeguards the personal data of visitors and learners (“you”). It applies to the website at tunnelling.in and the associated learning platform.

1. Who we are

The Programme is operated by AF Academy and delivered in association with the Dr. Dhawan Academy of Geologists (DDAG). AF Academy is the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data processed through Tunnelling.in. You can reach us at praggya@tunnelling.in or on +91 98185 68825.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account details — your name, email address, mobile number and the password you set when you register.
  • Billing & tax details — billing name, postal address, city, state, postal code, country and, where applicable, your GSTIN, collected at checkout to process your order and issue an invoice.
  • Participant details — for multi-seat enrolments, the names and email addresses of the participants you nominate, used to grant them course access.
  • Order & transaction records — the products you purchase, order references, amounts and payment status. We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank account numbers (see Payments).
  • Communication preferences — whether you opt in to receive order and course updates over WhatsApp.
  • Usage & device data — pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location, browser and device information, collected through cookies and analytics where you have consented.

3. How we use your information

We process your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide access to the Programme and the learning platform;
  • Process payments, issue invoices and meet tax and accounting obligations;
  • Enrol the participants you nominate and issue completion certificates;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
  • Send transactional messages (order confirmations, access details, important updates) by email and, if you opt in, WhatsApp;
  • Understand and improve how the Programme and website are used; and
  • Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security incidents, and comply with applicable law.

We rely on your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the Programme, and compliance with legal obligations as the lawful bases for this processing.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay, our third-party payment gateway. When you pay, your card, UPI, net-banking or EMI details are submitted directly to Razorpay and handled under their security standards and privacy policy. We receive only the outcome of the transaction (success or failure), an order reference and limited billing details — we never see or store your full payment instrument details.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site (for example, to keep your cart and session) and, with your consent, analytics cookies (including PostHog) to measure usage and improve the experience. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and manage cookies in your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to enrol or access the Programme.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with parties that help us run the Programme, and only to the extent needed:

  • Payment processing - Razorpay;
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the website and learning platform;
  • Analytics and communications providers (for example, PostHog and our WhatsApp/email messaging providers) where you have consented or for transactional messages;
  • Dr. Dhawan Academy of Geologists (DDAG) as our delivery partner, where required to provide the Programme; and
  • Authorities, regulators or advisors where disclosure is required by law or to protect our rights.

Where we engage service providers, we require them to process your data only on our instructions and to keep it secure.

7. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Programme. We keep transaction and invoice records for the periods required under Indian tax and accounting law. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request erasure of your data where it is no longer needed;
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave (this does not affect processing already carried out); and
  • Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at praggya@tunnelling.in.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and use of a PCI-compliant payment gateway — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the authorities of any breach as required by law.

10. International users

The Programme is operated from India and serves learners worldwide. If you access it from outside India, your data will be processed in India and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws from your own.

11. Children

The Programme is intended for working professionals and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new “last updated” date, and material changes will be notified where appropriate. Your continued use of the Programme after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

13. Contact us

For any question about this policy or your personal data, or to raise a grievance, contact the AF Academy team at praggya@tunnelling.in or +91 98185 68825. We will acknowledge and address grievances within the timelines required under applicable law.
