Neeta Arora

Second Topper of the Delhi College of Engineering 1990 batch, and with technical skills including in-depth knowledge of hydraulics (numerical and physical model assessment), earthen and concrete dams (design and safety assessment), and hydraulic structures, Neeta has more than thirty-two-year experience in Planning, Design, Project Management, and Due Diligence of greenfield, under construction and commissioned Dams, Hydropower and Pumped Storage Projects. Hydraulic designs, Structural Analysis, Detailed Design, Dam Safety Assessment, preparation of Technical Specification, Tender Documents, Cost Estimation, preparation of Tender and Construction Stage Drawings for various components of projects come naturally to Neeta.

Besides being instrumental in the planning and detailed designs/ review of EPC assignments such as 450MW Shongtong Karcham HEP, 1000 MW Tehri PSP, 444 MW Vishnugarh Pipalkoti Dam & HEP 118 MW Nikachhu Dam & HEP (Bhutan), 900 MW Parnai Dam & HEP, Shahpurkandi Dam Project, 900 MW Somasilla PSP (900MW, Andhra Pradesh, India) and 1680 MW MP30 Gandhi Sagar PSP, Neeta has played pivotal role in the successful execution of some of the prestigious projects like 96MW Jorethang Loop Dam & HEP, (15m high Barrage, 96 MW, Sikkim, India), 28MW Nyabarongo Dam & HEP, 600MW Kameng HEP, and 42MW Salma Dam & HPP (Afghanistan).

With overseas work experience in countries like India, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, China, Nepal, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka, Neeta's professional journey to her current position as Director- Renewables-SACA at SMEC International Pty Ltd, has been through pivotal roles at prestigious semi-government and private organisations like SMEC India Pvt. Ltd, WAPCOS (I) Ltd, SNC Lavalin Ltd, Hindustan Construction Company Ltd, and Consulting Engineers India Pvt. Ltd.
